    **********

    WHO:

Former active duty Marine turned suburban dad/Reservist. Since I no longer shoot nearly as much as I once did, I'm doing a complete re-evaluation of my firearms/ammunition inventory.

    WHAT:

Mil-spec Crimson Trace (CT) Lasergrips (Laser Grips), Model #LG-402M. Fits Beretta 92/96/M9. These are the mil-spec grips -- not the cheaper LG-302 (which retails for $100 less). Includes original box, original manuals, original hex wrench, original cleaning swabs, extra set of sealed/unused batteries, and warranty paperwork for a "lifetime supply" of batteries from Crimson Trace.

    WHERE:

    Sacramento/Bay Area (see below).

    WHEN:

I'm generally free during weekday working hours (9am-4pm), but can make myself available on weeknights/weekends.

    WHY:

I put these grips on the M9 I carried in Afghanistan (which I never fired -- no false bravado here). I held onto them on the offhand chance I would deploy again, but now that I'm a suburban dad -- and the military is moving to the M17/18 anyways -- can't justify just hanging onto these grips. My loss is your gain!

    HOW:

I'll ship these to you. Shipping is included in the price.

Alternatively -- if you want to inspect them first -- I can meet you pretty much anywhere in the greater Sacramento area. However, I drive down to the Bay Area (Alameda) all the time for work, and can take either I-80 (passing through Davis, Vacaville, Vallejo, Richmond, etc), state routes (passing through Lodi, Antioch, Concord, etc), or I-5/580 (passing through Lodi, Stockton, Tracy, Livermore, Hayward). Thus, I can also meet you in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, as well as any of the cities I'll pass through on my way from Sacramento.

    **********

Here's how I came up with the price.

    Retail Price: $399.00

    I paid: $282.00 (back in 2011)

I figure: $200 shipped -- half the retail value -- is a fair price.

More pictures! Here's another close-up of the box:

Here it is installed on a Beretta 92FS (obviously, the gun isn't included)! Slightly dirty with that fine dust that covered everything in Afghanistan.

Here's a picture of it activated:

I took a picture this morning. The button to activate the grips is the dome-looking thing in the center of the grips.

Generally, I found the activation of the Crimson Trace Lasergrips to be intuitive and easy -- just grip, and the right middle finger naturally falls on the button and turns it on. This is the same activation mechanism for both Crimson Trace "Lasergrips" and "Laserguards":

I had a potential buyer ask about negligent discharges associated with such pressure switches:

    I see two big differences:
    1) A light is not a laser; a laser is not a light. While I understand that LEOs/military don't want to give away their position by leaving a weapon light constantly on, I think it's a bit different with a relatively inconspicuous laser.
    2) The Beretta 92FS/M9 has a looooooooong double-action first trigger pull. I think that makes a negligent discharge (because of some sort of sympathetic activation of both the middle finger depressing the pressure switch and the trigger finger pulling the trigger) highly unlikely.

But to each his/her own. Crimson Trace also makes the "Rail Master", where the laser attaches to the rail and you activate it not by using your grip, but by pressing a button with your index/trigger finger:

You have to decide what system works best for you.
