yep.. it can stop an AK47 rounds.. doesn't need soft armor or level 3A. these are stand alone plates and very light comparable to it's counterparts.

SAPI plates (used by the US MIL) are ICW.. in conjunction with soft armor to achieve max protection.

Just curious as to the weight of each? Mine are about 5-6 lbs each and are also level 4+ stand alone plates. I thought DragonSkin was the Rolls Royce???

Dragonskin is ppftttt....

it's 8 lbs. each plate compared to ESAPI which is 10lbs.

what's the manufacturer of your level 4?
