holy cow, sorry for taking so long to get back to this thread and I also owe another member a PM regarding this..

    I pulled down the bag of foam I have in the garage - (4) pieces 50.5" x 13.75" x 1.625" totaling 6.5" thick..

I think it takes three to fill the case should I decide to re-purpose it for other rifles [as I mentioned earlier]

however, I think I would be more interested in the newer styles I see pictures of..

thinner bottom piece, thicker middle piece, and dimpled upper piece, but I can't seem to narrow down a part number..

seems the 1751 foam set describes 3 equal parts like what I have..

so at this point I have at least one piece for the OP [he asked first] and possibly the rest of it for other members if I can find a reliable source for the style I'd prefer in the future..

I'll give Pelican a call when I have a moment and see what they say..

I know I'm as slow as molasses in January but at least I'm just as steady..
I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

      Hey Killer Bee,

I'd be interested in a slab of that foam if you're looking to part with it. I'm more than willing to compensate you for it and I'm real close to the 405/22(couple miles).

      Adam,

Thanks for starting this thread! You are the reason Calguns is so great. If Killer Bee is unable to come through with foam I am more than happy to split the cost with you.

Let me know here or pm me.

      John
And in all fairness, just because JMB did it doesn't mean anything. He'd have won WWII with a soup can, a fork, and a couple rocks. Seriously, even McGuyver and Steven Hawking get together every now and then and are like "How the **** did he do that?..."

I'd be interested in grabbing a slab for a fair price. I'm in SoCal and am available for a ftf deal. Let me know.

based on the high interest level in this foam, I decided to just give all four pieces away now regardless of the other options.. I have no idea when I'll actually re-fit my case for anything other than my Barrett.. Ronnie sent me all of this foam because I was having trouble fitting my m82a1 with scope mounted, in the blow mold insert that came with the case.. he suggested I trim the insert or replace it with foam that he sent to me free of charge.. I trimmed the insert and it's sturdy and secures the heavy rifle in it's place so I left well enough alone and never used the foam.. time to get it out of my garage and put to good use..

I have to say this as well, Ronnie and Chris Barrett are great guys.. they have also assisted in factory service for my rifle as well as some cool swag.. so hats off to their customer service..

this foam was free to me so it's free to the following guys.. I'll only ask for convenient pick up arrangements and maybe a good iTrader

so here it is.. I'll try to keep it in order as fair as possible..
          1. Adam.. (1) I was too slow, OP found another piece already
          2. pm request #1 (1) or (2) delivered
          3. jfwlb (1) delivered
          4. Sig_Shooter (1) delivered
          5. pm request #2 (1) if pm request #1 concedes to only (1) pm requester #1 needed (2)
obliged him since he was the first guy to ask after the OP

sorry GoobMcNasty but I think we're too far apart to make this feasible..

I'm not going out of town during the holidays and don't have any big plans other than spending time at home with my family and working a few days this week and next..

please PM me for contact info and pickup arrangements.. 'pm request' member, let's meet last in case you get lucky enough for two..

and please let me know if anyone decides to decline so I can give it to the next guy that has a use for it..

pleasure meeting the guys that picked up the foam..

glad to help out and thanks for making it easy

            Wow! What a great offer!

This is why Calguns is my favorite gun forum.

Thank you Killer Bee! Merry Christmas!

            PM sent.
