El Paso Saddlery #44 Holster and Belt. This rig is similar to the belt and holster used by John Wayne in his later movies. This is the same style set made by El Paso Saddlery for the 1976 movie, The Shootist.
The holster is the open bottom style, fits guns with a 4 5/8 inch barrel, and is fully lined, including the back. The lining rolls over the top edge of the holster for easier reholstering. The outside of the holster is smooth leather with a leather band with the El Paso Saddlery logo, and the lining is a smooth, lighter colored leather. The holster has a leather hammer loop and has two holes in the back for an optional leg thong which is included.
I have test fit the holster with the heavy frame Vaquero, and this gun fits tightly. It should be an easy fit for a Colt SAA or New Vaquero. The holster has never been worn as is apparent in the pictures.
The belt is a 2 1/2 inch wide size 36 money belt made with rough-side-out leather. The belt measures 38 inches from the first hole to the center of the buckle. There are 26 .45 caliber ammo loops and a nickel buckle. The belt also includes the El Paso Saddlery brand.
I could meet for a sale at a local FFL such as Orange County Indoor Shooting Range in Brea or a local police department or similar location.
