Is it true the kac sights marked USMC are stolen?

I too keep hearing that online but it doesn't make sense to me because I know several individuals (including myself) who purchased our sights online via the manufacturer and they were all marked with USMC. I even have the receipt to prove it.

Did they stamp it with 2 different USMC font and size? The ones with USMC stamped on it are military surplus...

I don't recall what the original font was to say it's different. But again, same font or not, I have a valid receipt from the manufacturer verifying this was purchased legally.
