But you have to admit.......nowhere else has the weather of Cali...

I lived in Port Arthur for two years.

Was driving in my car when I first got there, had the scorching hot gripping tingle up my back.......it was scary.......

......Started to think I was in the Twilight Zone,........where all people were gone and only the buildings were left....maybe it was Aliens?.....or maybe the government collecting everyone who cheated on their taxes.....

No people anywheres but plenty of cars moving about....

The sidewalks and streets had no dogs walking their owners, no bicycilist darting in front of cars trying to get run over, no yelling and crying children screeching and giving you a headache, no old people crossing the street so slowly that the light turns yellow then red then back to green 3 times before they get to the other side....no hot women jogging listening to their Ipod as they swing their hips and jiggle their breasts while their pony tale threaded through that hole in the ball cap swings wildly, no husbands mowing the lawn, no cackles of housewives chatting up the gossip, no pickup basketball games, nothing at all.....no people....

The humidity meant eveyone went from air conditioned house to air conditioned car to air conditioned store, then back to air coditioned home.

The Cali weather does significantly affect lifestyle in a truly positive way!

The other thing good about Cali is the open spaces. In Texas every bit of land is owned by someone and you do not dare to put a toe on it if you do not ow it. Hardly any shared public open places (the benefit is no homeless living in these public places) but none the less I enjoy these public properties to walk or ride my bike and or other things

But yes this state hates white people who work and make wealth for all for a living. They know they these folks will follow gun laws while those who are not will simply ignore the gun laws. Cali politically persecutes those who exercise their basic human right of self protection. I have often thought of leaving Cali because of this and also because the extremely greedy and corrupt governments in Cali (Samuel Clemens said the California legistlature was the best governement you can buy!). Family is the grain of sand that currently tips the scale for me to stay in Cali even though I am a hated stereotyped group. What ever happened to the good old days when you could hate people that were not like me instead of hating hard working folks who exercised their basic human right of self protection and they liked to vote NOT DEMOCRATIC PARTY and in many instances voted Republican.
