      There used to be a place in the hills of hayward/castro vally that sold black powder but I can not for the life of me remember where it was. Black powder is a nogo in the SF/San mateo gun stores (fire marshals have an issue with the storage of BP) A great alternative is the American Legand black powder. Burns well and is water cleanup, non corrosive.
