    WTB/ 38 S&W

I have a Colt in 38S&W coming in that was part of an auction lot I won. I have found exactly one place on the internet that has it in stock. But it is too pricey, especially with shipping. Anybody have a box or a couple they want to sell? I am usually downtown or in west L.A. and would drive a half hour or so to pick up. Thanks.

I have a press and dies. If you buy the right bullets (check before buying them), brass, primers and powder, I'll help you load your own.

Thanks for the offer. I will keep it in mind. Finding the brass and the bullets (.359 or .360) is tougher than finding the ammo.

        Try this:

If need be, .358 bullets might work. I have had decent results in the only .38S&W I have loaded for. But, I just found a small company in Socal that I will call tomorrow and inquire about .360-.361 bullets. They do not have a website but, it appears that the owner and I share an uncommon last name. Maybe, I found a lost relative who is a comercial caster.

Thanks for the PMs guys. That was great lead. I am still hoping someone will surface in West LA or near downtown.

Missouri Bullets sells actual .361" diameter LRN bullets. They are a great company to deal with.

PLUS 1,000- I reload 38 SW with their .361 bullet.

              OP
you should find some CAS people in So Cal. .38 SW is popular with them... I also don't know how much $$$ counts as expensive, but Ten-X loads these up for $39.
