I've reloaded thousands of .308 rounds (used 6 jugs of powder, 8 lb. each) with this powder with satisfactory results. I used it with m61 bullets (pulled down as well) and with new manufactured 150grn FMJ bullets. I've loaded it to M59 Ball specs for use in my .308 Vepr; OAL 2.8 in., 46 grns. of WC846, gave me 2780 fps 10 feet from the muzzle.
Also got satisfactory results in my Rem.700 LTR with following:
Win. brass, CCI BR primer, 44 grn/WC846, Sierra 172 grn BTHP, OAL 2.83, velocity 2640FPS, sub-moa (.970) 5 shot group at 100 yards (Best out of 5 groups)
Win. brass, CCI primer, 45 grn/WC846, Sierra 168 grn BTHP, OAL 2.83, velocity 2700FPS. sub-moa (.950) 5 shot group at 100 yards (Best out of 5 groups)
I prefer to use Varget for my precision loads, which gives me better accuracy/consistency, but requires weighin every charge. WC846 Powder Meeters very well with RCBS/LEE dispensers and is good for plinking reloads.
