.38 Special

I have approximately 200 rounds of .38 special as well as 100 rounds of .38 special brass. These were given to me and are reloads. The person who gave them to me stated he put the wrong primers in them and will not shoot them, as he put magnum primers in them.

The brass is clean and the rounds are a mix of hollowpoints and FMJ's. I am looking for $25.00 obo or something fair in trade.

I live in the high desert area and would prefer not to ship.

If your deal falls through, I could pull them down and use them at the reloading clinic Agua Dulce on Dec 12th. As far as compinsation, I'm thinking that I would offer you some good reloads in whatever caliber you need as long as I have brass and dies for it.

Just curious - I see a concern w/using the ammo in a 38S firearm, but what's the concern with using the ammo in a firearm chambered for 357M? Even though the reloads have magnum primers, the powder charge is still that of a 38S which would still be less than a regular 357M.

The small pistol magnum primers still work fine in my snubnose .38spl. The only caution is that I start at minimal powder charge...

Magnum primers will work with 38 spl but the fireholes are smaller compared to magnum brass. It will push the primer back and bind the cylinder. That was my experience.

You don't know what the load was. It could be loaded to max with magnum primers. It could be loaded 2 grains above max for your gun. Should be used as components only.

He have the disclaimer because he does not have the license to manufacture ammunition for resale. Not because he does not know the load. If these ammos are reloaded by Miwall then he does not have to have the disclaimer.

Just for the record, I do not know what the loads for this were. They were not reloaded by me, nor do I know if they were loaded by a reputable commercial reloader. As such, I warn anyone who purchases them.

They are sold.
