Hey guys... I have 12 7 5 boxes of 5.56 military frangible ammo. I use these at On-Target Range as they allow frangible ammo. They come in 20 round boxes as in the picture below. All boxes are sealed and new. $15 per box. FTF Local Only... I'm in Westminster. I'm in Irvine on Wednesdays once in awhile.
From what I hear these are fantastic for shooting steel targets and for CQB training. They're also lighter and produce less recoil and good for training of all kinds. The jury is out on whether or not its an effective defensive round... word is it is devastating on soft targets (people) but will not penetrate much yet will dump all of its downrange energy onto the target. They shatter and disintegrate against anything harder than the bullet and it pretty much eliminates any risk of ricochet. I've never had any problems with them, they've all fed, fired, and ejected perfectly. Please no smack about frangible ammunition on the thread... like I said the jury is out... it might be worth a try right?
