It is my understanding, that we can still buy and sell ammo to each other here on the board, but we will now be required by law to keep records? And run background checks to whom we sell to? or?

Not unless the sale goes through an FFL or ammo vendor like a ppt sale does is my understanding of the current proposed regulations

All my assembled ammo will be sold as componets only. You will be required to sign a statement that I sold you - brass, primer, powder & projectiles. It's up to you to determine how you want to disassemble it to reuse the parts.

Has anyone investigated the selling of ammunition after Dec 31 other than the C&R COE thingy?

Specifically has anyone discussed with the so called "dealers" to see what their thoughts are like will they accept shipments from internet purchases, would the they a private party FTF sale, and how all of that is suppose to work? Also what kind of fees are they talking bout.

I figure to keep costs down I will have to buy multi-thousands of rounds at time else for that $3 box of 22LR add $15 background check and $25 FFL fee and it comes up to $43. So then the state gets to tax you on $43 instead of $3 so the total ends up being $47 instead of $3.30.

What a racket.

You're saying that you heard Tracy Gun & Rifle will charge the same amount for guns or ammo shipped? Most stores charge between $75 to $125 for this fee.

That would be crazy. I thought they would just charge $10 which is what they make when they do a PPT. DROS for a gun is $25 but I wonder will there be a DROS fee too when you buy/sell ammo whether through internet sale or PPT.
