I just found a box of 1000 rds of the 1980's German steel cased 762x39 ammo with the lightweight steel shell bullets that had plastic filler. They were indidually packed in 10rd packs, the headstamp looks to be 85 over 77.



The ammo was loose in a cardboard box that got wet at sometime over the last 10 years and the steel cases are rusty. These have lacquered primers and necks, when you shake the rounds the powder is dry and moves freely.



The bullets themselves are not rusted, so if someone wanted to reuse the bullets & primer, there won't be a problem if you can break this down for components.



I fired 2k of this ammo back in the 90's, it shot great and is lethal out to 200m. You could try tumbling the cases and shoot it as is but I'm only selling as components.
