A few real deals, but they are overpriced to begin with on a lot of items. Wally's is more the place you go for exceptional customer service, not necessarily for the lowest price.
If you buy anything because it has "tactical" or "operator" in the name, we probably don't run in the same circles.

While that is generally true, when they have their annual tent sale they do set a few nice items aside at a major discount. I've gotten a few legit high end wines for under 10 bucks.

Actually they do the tent sale at least twice a year. And yes, like I said, there are some deals depending on what you're looking for.

Care to disclose the vintners, vineyards and vintages of the "legit high end wines" for under $10?

Prices at Wallys have never been what I would deem unreasonable, but they have gone pretty aggressive on pricing of the sought after wines since the Marciano brothers had taken over. There's always the Winehouse which is only a few blocks away. No frills, courteous and knowledgable sales people with a solid selection to offer any budget.

Wallys is a great store but prices are high. If you make a short drive to the Pavillions in malibu on pch/heathercliff that has a huge selection of fine wines and spirits as well as a walk in wine cellar. If the do not have what you need they will special order for you. Plus you get benefits of buy 6 sales and 30 percent off of wines/spirits over 20 bucks.

I do not remember, but I also did not pretend to be a connoisseur, so I don't think the condescension is warranted, nor do I see what it possibly accomplishes aside from flaunting your obviously superior expertise and taste.

                  Wine snobs... I tell ya.
