When it comes to NiB, I lean towards Nathan @ Tactical Machining's advice:

There are only two companies that due true NiB, Failzero & WMD. WMD was started by ex-failzero employees.

The rest are imitation IMHO and they are just nickeling them which is the base coat for hard chrome. So for all those cheap "NiB" BCG's your just getting the incomplete process for hard chrome. This is the reason for pitting and flaking. I have tried the cheap ones and they do not work like the two other companies.

Important Note: Some off-the-shelf rifle cleaning solutions such as Hoppe’s #9 can react negatively with nickel finishes and since EXO is a nickel-based coating, these should not be used on FailZero products. Always refer to manufacturer recommendations before use on FailZero products.
