Does a Pistol barrel have issues with cycle speeds due to the shortened gas port? Special gas block with adjustable release required for this barrel?

I got the 8" barrel from them. I also have a 10.5. Both have pistol length gas tubes and none have cycling issues with standard carbine buffers.
It's the 5.56 that have cycling issues in pistols.
