Holosun Micro $130, M4 style with Laser $162-$169

I have never used them before, but I know that the new PA red dots are based on them. I did order a micro, so I will have more info on Thursday...

Don't forget to "clip" the $20 off coupon...

Thanks OP! I was waiting for Primary Arms to restock their PA MD-ADS, but I'm sure I'll be just as happy with the Holosun Micro Dot,
especially with such a great deal!

Same here - waiting on PA to restock the MD-ADS too.

From the reviews and tests that I've seen on the Holosun, it holds up just as well as the PA MD-ADS. The main differences are that the Holosun are auto on/off (which I don't really like, and that the battery is located on the bottom of the Holosun, which will require you to remove the red dot from the mounting plate/base/riser whenever you need to change it. On the MD-ADS, the battery is on the side for easy access. But that's every 4-5 years anyways

Not to take away from the OP's Holosun post, but the Primary Arms MD-ADS is back in stock as of this morning for $169

Again, the main differences that I've seen between the MD-ADS and the Holosun red dots are....

            1) MD-ADS stays on and won't turn off unless you turn it off. Holosun sights have an auto-off feature and will "wake up" when it feels vibration. Me personally, I like the 'no turn off' feature like the Aimpoints.

            2) Some of the Holosun sights have the battery on the bottom, and require you to remove the mount from the base in order to change the battery, thus most likely needing to re-zero the red dot. On the MD-ADS and the more expensive Holosun HS403G, the battery compartment is on the side. But given it's supposed to last 50,000 hours, I'm sure it'll be awhile before you need to change it.

I belive it has auto shutdown after 4 6 and 8 hrs not always on . Also holosun will not fit t1 mounts. Primary arms dose not come with riser mount its extra.. holosun makes some of primary arms sights makes a few diffrent versons for t1 mounting and battery on either side .

Well I'll find out and report back.

I ordered one this morning and it's already been shipped out. Should get it by this weekend.

EDIT: Received it on Saturday afternoon 12/6 and turned it on around 5pm on level 5 (out of 11 brightness settings). As of Tuesday morning 12/9, the MD-ADS is still on and working just fine..... I have it sitting in a kitchen cabinet right now to simulate my gun safe until I can zero it in, so I don't move it and can verifty that there's no "motion activated turn ON" like the Holosuns. And also my testing so far has proven that there's no 'auto off' feature like the Holosuns have, so this will stay on until you manually turn it off like the Aimpoints, which is how I like it.

BTW, the 2 MOA dot on the MD-ADS is really crisp and nice looking, just like an Aimpoint PRO. Very little to no glare.
