Awesome lights, bought two packs, gonna buy two more as backups. All four packs will still be cheaper than my one surefire.

Is this a online purchase only? I went to costco yesterday and they had zero flashlights. I asked where they could be and the manager said that they didn't have any. Thanks

You can ask them to check if any other local stores have them in stock. Not all Costcos carry the same stuff, with the exception of electronics, is what a manager once told me.

Re: the lights, i've had earlier versions and it's not unusual to get a bad one out of a three pack. Also, they tend to die just sitting around. If these only have two setting and no strobe, they sound like a new generation and hopefully they've improved on things.

I hope these are better than the first gen ones I bought. GREAT lights... except for the annoying habit they have of running down the batteries in approx 3 weeks... while sitting there unused.

I use Eneloops so I just swap in new ones and recharge, but if you can't count on it, well...

I may have read that they fixed that issue. I still have a hard time giving up on these lights, though, because they're really nice, otherwise. Stick freshly charges batteries in, and they're great for a weekend camping trip.

these are nice and I have some. I am not a flashlight enthusiast, but find flashlights extremely useful, and like having lots of them, especially as I do my preps.

With that said, I have gone away from these because they require multiple batteries and are typically AAA.

This is my biggest reason, too many batteries and not as common as AA.

So I started buying lots of these "Cree" lights - they take one AA and have a decent brightness and for the money and single battery. I have them everywhere.

I also have a couple larger lights that are higher quality in the car and around the house

GREAT flashlights.....I have at least 10 of them. I have them everywhere and in every cars glove box. I may have to pick up some more.

I've only noticed the "running down while not in use" on one or two of them....I just checked one last night that has sat for at least a month if not two and it was fine.

                ^^ This.

I have about 4 of those single AA lights, as well. Super reliable. They're my go-to bedside lights.

The burntime is not amazing, not with one AA. But they're plenty bright, tiny, and again, very reliable. They don't eat batteries just sitting there. Love 'em.

Amazon has a ton of them, many with free Prime shipping. I've personally ordered these, these, and these, and have nothing but good things to say about them.

That said, I do enjoy the Costco lights, too. It's just that I tend to grab these little ones first, due to the battery drain issue.

Picked up another 2 pack, not sure what I'm gonna do with 12 flashlights total. Should have stopped there, picked up the 2,000 lumen flood light and 5 of the LED BR40 recessed lights.

I've slowly started replacing my 40 incandescent lights with those and have noticed I saved almost $200 a month in electricity bills.

These are a little bigger then the normal Duracell 3 pack they carry. The usual 3 pack is only 250 lumens but have a lanyard, have the "strobe" effect on them and have the smooth top(non tactical).
This new tactical set comes in different colors (red, black, blue, grey) and are 50 lumens more powerful.

***I found them in seasonal section too ***

Here is the normal 3 pack and they kick *** IMO. I love them. I am sure this new set is just as good. I will open them up tonight.

Good lights...waiting for the 500 lumen ones to come back on special

Can anyone confirm that these lights drain battery?

Are batteries included? It was not mentioned in the OP.
