    AR-15 project parts from PSA

I ordered this stuff from PSA earlier today to build my own AR-15.
Next step planned is to buy an anodized 80% lower from Tactical Machining for $80 (plus $13 shipping). If I don't count the shipping costs then I believe I have a complete AR-15 for under $500. $478 for all the parts to be exact. And figure another $10 or so for a bullet button. I think it's a good deal, that's why I'm posting it here. But I'm a newb when it comes to AR-15, so please let me know if I did good or not.

how are you planning to turn that 80% into 100%, how about engraving serial # and maker (not really needed, but what do you tell the cop when your "assault" weapon has no serial #). how much would that cost ?

Yep, if your goal is to save money, avoid 80% route. Go with 100%. Even with DROS, it's only $100 out the door.

Tell him to kick rocks. By the flowchart my weapon is not a URAW, and guns dont need to have serial numbers.

Should be great but don't worry - it won't be your last!

First AR? May want to also consider a quality stripped lower and tinker with that 80% separately. Unless you happen to have equipment/skills to complete it easily. Just saying.

Would suggest a safe if you don't have one already.

I was planning on getting a red dot sight. Am I missing anything else?

Actually PSA had a "standard" LPK including bullet button for about $43 this morning, to which I would have had to add the "standard" stock for another $40. I decided to go with their "enhanced" lower kit including stock for $80 instead, and buy the bullet button separately.

Too late to get scared now, I already bought it.

Where's the best place to get one? Are they available locally in So. Cal?

I have experience with machining, so I am not concerned about that part. Already have a safe.

I've been watching the PSA sales for a month or two looking for a low cost way to put together an AR, and I thought this stuff was the best collective deal I've seen so far $wise, so I thought I should share it
