Looks like the last batch of billet lowers wouldn't sell as they are greedy and no one is buying them. Franklin makes good stuff but burners was asking way too much for them. So now they try to bundle the lower in for "free" when you buy an overpriced rifle. Also I suspect they overloaded themselves with inventory to cash in on the possible ban. Black Friday is right around the corner and there is no rush......better deals to come...don't get burned.

Maybe they'll sell those billets on BF for $120 .

I wish we had a better larger firearm retailer then Turners. So hard to find good prices out here in California, either have to buy used or online.

Nothing interesting. The lower makes some of the ARs reasonably priced but still rather buy and build. Now if they were including some handguns!

Nice try Turners, you can keep your backstock rifles.

I can see a lot of AR rifles going on sale at Turners in the next few months. Im sure they overstocked anticipating a ban. Maybe this time they won't make me feel like they are doing me favor by selling me a AR but that's a another story.

The Windham is a decent AR. It's basically a Bushmaster.

Good budget stuff for people wanting to get into the market. I know a few people like that. Perfect for them.

Reseda was filled yesterday wall to wall with MSR's, not too many people in there just before lunch. Ammo and mag prices are still way over the top

What does "MSR" mean in this context? Can't find anything on Google other than Modular Sniper Rifle.

Modern Sporting Rifle was the term that was used lately, I only really heard it more widely used lately - in last 3-5 months, and is a reference to the AR15. Sort of a way, IMHO, to make "AR15" or "assault weapon" sound better to the public, media and politicians.

Agreed...best mfg in the bunch is Windham, which is employed by all ex-Bushmaster employees after they decided to close down that particular plant that Windham now owns.

Other than that, I'd probably just build my own...could get more bang for the buck that way and still have enough left over for 2-3 forged lowers (never saw the need for billet anything).

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
