Howdy all,

I am helping organize a group buy of Sturdy safes along with a friend in the area, username taofd

There is not much traffic in the safes section and we are hoping to close this out soon (and haven't gotten a lot of pings yet):

For those that have not heard of sturdy safes, I highly recommend you do a google search of them and a calguns search. Their website has lots of info as well. They are priced as a mid range safe ($1k-$2k), but compared to other major brands, the features you get are worth twice that amount (quality of steel and locking/fireproofing etc)

How come Sturdy Safe doesn't go through UL / Fire testing? I purchased a TL-30 rated safe and would gladly have bought a quality safe if it has gone through the proper certification.

I too think they would sell more safes to offset the 1 time charge to have it UL rated. They don't even have to do all of them, just do the most popular model.

I ordered a Sturdy Safe last year, I am very pleased to do business with them.

Their "made to order" price is a bit cheaper if you call in. They're a California company based out of Fresno. It's about $300 or so cheaper for delivery within CA. Shipping is free, but again, because you're in CA they'll give you a discount for "local" delivery.

I have the 36W x 27D x 72H fire-lined safe, with the thicker metal.

But good people to deal with.
Current leadtime is 6 weeks.
