I'd pay 40 bucks more and get the hammer forged one on the same page.....although it might be a pain to get it pinned. They offer deals with it already pinned if you wait and watch a little

in this deal you'd have to pin the flash hider yourself?

Or get a gunsmith to do it for you, yes. As mentioned above, this is a much better barrel due to the CHF process, makes the barrel a bit stronger and therefore wears out less. Will you burn out either barrel in your lifetime though? Unless you are shooting thousands non-stop, nope.

Yes, however there are several companies that will do it at a reasonable price if you send it it. My local gunsmith at Fort Courage Armory did mine for $35.

i was just thinking the same thing. is there anyway to estimate the round count for a barrel with CHF done? and without CHF done?

Last month, I got the 14.7 CHF carbine upper without CH/BCG for $299...that was a deal!!

Always check their site....sometimes, its there for less than an hour and its out of stock.

Man I got ripped of I got the 14.7" upper without the BCG 6 months ago for $499. What an awesom deal I would be all over this if I needed an additional upper. If anyone purchase the 14.7" upper ill trade you for a brand new pinned on with Centurion C4 rails on it for an additional $100. That's like you saving $150+. I have yet to shoot the one that I have.
