What the heck would the advantage of drilling holes in it be? Lighter weight, but I'm not sure I want my bcg to be lighter weight.

I wonder how much lighter it is with those holes and if it will affect weapon cycling.

I thought heavier BCG's were preferable?

I have heard this BCG is more suitable for an adjustable gas block. Looks bad ***, but I'll take a standard BCG IMO.

Where they drill the holes are not subjected to the highest strain during cycling. I am sure they have done their due diligent in mechanical design and material strength analysis.

Might be good for a novelty lightweight build, but I wouldn't trust my life with it.

Depends on your gas system length and gas block.

Did you look at the picture? It's drilled all over. I'm sure they checked it out, but I'm surprised they can remove that much material that way.
