They acquired the rights to the name IIRC so I'm sure there is some royalties involved.Comment

Yea, as stated they have rights from Capcom to use the name "Umbrella Corporation" and the logo too. No "ripping off" involved
I finally got one of the HUUCR's, she's pretty nice.

Any links to back this up? For the record, I would very much like to be wrong here. If that were the case, my respect for both companies would go up.
When these lowers first came out a year or two ago, there was a lot of question as to the licensing. As I understand it, this company registered the name "Umbrella" for use in the firearms industry, which was somehow legal to do (I'm not a lawyer, so I can't explain the technicalities) without having to license it from Capcom.
As for the logo, it actually cannot be copyrighted. Here's a wikipedia link. Technically, ANY company could release a lower with an umbrella logo.Comment

I would like to get one but the cheapest transfer I can find it 75$, I aint looking to pay that on a $215 lower, FDE and Umbrella corps or not.
That is pretty awesome though. I really want to get it.Don't forget to shop at Amazon through Shop42a.com. Up to 25% of every purchase you make through Shop42a.com goes back to help fight for your gun rights.

As far as legalities I don't know. I would assume if there was some licensing needed UCWRG took care of it.Comment
