subsonic ammo is generall regarded as more accurate. I have shot subsonics out of all my 22lr rifles and pistols, longest barrel was 16.5". you should never shoot the aguuila colibri out of a rifle however..
Should be fine, many ar 22 shooters shoot subsonic. 5 box limit- imight give it a go. wouldnt hurt, I have a little bolt action that LOVES subsonics
