After checking the LA thread for Walmart ammo and not seeing very many entries for the Palmdale & Lancaster stores, I decided we needed our own thread since we are quite a distance from LA (yet still in LA county), Please use this thread for local ammo status at the Antelope Valley Walmarts, especially for the common handgun/rifle loads including:

I made a complete tour of the 4 in our area and here is the current status as of 8:00am 4/27/2013

West Palmdale (10th st. W):
shotgun ammo only..small boxes small qty's

East palmdale (20th East and S):
.17wmr
oddball rifle
shotgun small qty's

West Lancaster (J & 8th W)
oddball rifle such as .243, .270win, .300win
Shotgun .410, 20gauge, 12 gauge small qty's

East Lancaster (J & 15th E):
some oddball rifle
shotgun .410, 12gauge small qty's

Good idea. I found the west lancaster walmart often has stock on the shelves Friday or Saturday morning, but you have to get there well before 7am if you want a chance at any of it.

I've been checking both the Palmdale Walmarts whenever I have the chance and its always the same. It's either 20 gauge or. 270 every time I go in there. If anybody knows which days Palmdale receives their shipments and when they stock the shelves would be great.

Same rumor going around canyon country. Looks like they should have a decent load.

My buddy went at 8am this morning before we hit the range, and nothing. Unless they stocked it during the day which I have seen them do before.

Yes they got a shipment but there is 10+ people that got the memo and the word is spreading like wildfire. A decent amount of 22,9 40 and Tula 223
