Just a heads up for those of you with a Sports Authority near you. Less than a week ago I walked into a SA and they had the 10/22s blued with either Wood or Synthetic for $229. I asked the guy at the counter if I bought two would he lower the price. He said sure, and dropped the price to $209 each. He just had to put a remark in system saying he was matching competitors price.

I got the ss one at turners for 189 when it was on sale. I would shop around you can find them a bit cheaper

Sports Authority in Vacaville sell 10/22's as low as $229 at regular price. If they dont have them in stock I think they can order you one.

I'm in Northern CA too, Big 5 was the best bet per my original post. I looked online new and private party local but the FFL transfer fees drove the cost up higher than Big 5. The other local retailers could not compete with the Big 5 sale price.
