When I was looking at their rifle ammo on the 20th of December, they had 100s of spam cans of 7.62x54r in stock. Within 3 days, they sold out of ALL of the cans. A few days more, all their rifle ammo was out in every caliber. The entire time, they kept their prices the same until they sold out of everything. The whole time, THEY DID NOT INCREASE THEIR PRICE. That tells me they are one of the good guys in my book even though they are absolutely not obligated to keep their prices low because we are not a communist country yet.

If you own a business and you are selling out a whole warehouse of stuff in a few days, you'd be stupid to price it at the same as before. What is a fair price? The price someone is willing to sell and buy at. Gouging? Ammo is not a necessity to sustain life such as water in the desert. If you want something pay for it. It makes me sick that people have this entitlement mentality to be able to buy something at a price they think they should pay.

Maybe some of the people complaining should sell me their AR15s for $500 or $600 because that is what the price used to be and that is what I believe I should pay for an AR15.

BTW, all the reloading supplies are drying up too.

(don't bash me) I believe the Q4369 .40 was $180 last week. Just guessing, but it looks like everything went up roughly 10%.

Historically, have ammo prices ever dropped after panic buying?

Yes. This is not the first panic in history. I remember the 1994 Federal Assault Rifle Ban and the painful 10 years where one cannot buy any AR or Ak.

sgammo has always come through for me, and I will continue to patronize them.

Prices are up everywhere. Market dictates price, it's unlikely that will ever change.

              No bashing here

It may have been $179, I just remembered it at about .40 cents a round with shipping. Midway had it for $217 shipped and Natchez was more.

Still, the good old days (lol) was the case I picked up at the gun show last year at .24 cents a round....

Exactly. The way I see it, why shouldn't stores raise their prices when someone can buy cheap from the stores and resell them here or craigslist for profit. That is what's driving the ammo prices up, demand from people panic buying and buying for profit.

They sell on replacement cost to them, plus what they think the market will bear, not what a good deal was a few months ago.

Once again......spend a few bucks a month when there is NOT a panic and be on the right end of the market when the panic begins.

Looks like SGammo punked out .. looks like they have held back on ammo and are now selling it on GB.

They should sell their ammo where they want and for the price they want. They have always sold on gb. They are one of the best vendors in the nation and some child says they punkd out. Complete trash move by x231.

Of the times I checked GB, sgammo always sold the same ammo as on their website for the same price. Now, they're selling stuff that's NOT on their website with ordinary bidding auctions.

Hopefully, sgammo will get fat off of the panic buyers and pass the love to their loyal customers when it all dies down...

Scathing! Hope I can sleep tonight after that .. and I'm probably older than your dad
I've bought plenty from them before so I have no need to panic buy now. Just a little disappointing to me that they would try to wring every last dime out of their customers now like all the rest of the ammo/gun scalpers, but yeah, that's their right just as it is mine to lose some respect for them.
