When I was looking at their rifle ammo on the 20th of December, they had 100s of spam cans of 7.62x54r in stock. Within 3 days, they sold out of ALL of the cans. A few days more, all their rifle ammo was out in every caliber. The entire time, they kept their prices the same until they sold out of everything. The whole time, THEY DID NOT INCREASE THEIR PRICE. That tells me they are one of the good guys in my book even though they are absolutely not obligated to keep their prices low because we are not a communist country yet.
If you own a business and you are selling out a whole warehouse of stuff in a few days, you'd be stupid to price it at the same as before. What is a fair price? The price someone is willing to sell and buy at. Gouging? Ammo is not a necessity to sustain life such as water in the desert. If you want something pay for it. It makes me sick that people have this entitlement mentality to be able to buy something at a price they think they should pay.
Maybe some of the people complaining should sell me their AR15s for $500 or $600 because that is what the price used to be and that is what I believe I should pay for an AR15.
BTW, all the reloading supplies are drying up too.
