^^damn, you bumped this and got my hope up. Guess I'll have to go with the Midway deal.

What you think of the scope so far? and pure co-witness, or lower third or somewhere in between?

sorry, I hate when that happens too... I just wanted to post that the shipping was pretty quick and the RDS is new and good (I've never ordered from Officerstore or Firestore and I figured others might not have either)...

The Pro lives up to the reviews people give... with the riser on an AR it's closer to lower 1/3 than absolute (but actually in between)...

I have the same mount on two AKs with spacer removed, sits nice and low... it's actually my favorite RDS mount (others are ADM, LaRue, Burris, ARMS, Sun Optics).

Anyway, Officerstore.com (which is affiliated with firestore.com) is gtg... they sent a $10 coupon for next order - I think I'll be using them in the future (if pricing continues to be good).

BTW, that Midway deal ($365 shipped - after coupon) is a good one too!

I was looking into this as well to finish off my latest build but I've not been able to find out if I can absolute co with this unit, minus riser.

No, it will not on an AR. Not sure why that would be a deal breaker though.

Well, I guess I've just gotten use to the sight picture (w/ co-witness) on my DDv5 utilizing a XPS2...I dunno, I just like to place the dot atop of the front sight.

with the riser it's not that far off... dot isn't directly on top of sight post, but it's very intuitive (to me anyway).

without the riser it's way too low for an AR, but about perfect on an AK (with TWS rail).

I will look into this weekend; going to Ammo Bros to see if they will allow me to test a few..

Stop placing the dot on the front sight, and stop looking at your sights. Focus on the target only and all you should see is a clear target with a fuzzy dot superimposed on it.
