Actually weight would be closer to 50lbs...

They may well have a negotiated volume shipping agreement with UPS that explains the 33lb you are seeing on the tracking page.

Why not wait and see what you get before accusing them of ripping you (or UPS) off?

Slow down there cowboy, I did not accuse them of ripping me off. I said they are either cheating UPS out of some weight or I'm not going to receive 1000 rounds.

As for negotiated volume discount, no doubt but that's not accomplished by changing the weight. Its a percentage from book rates.

Shipping weights are never adjusted for discounts, they are used to calculate loads in all types of transportation vehicles. Especially air shipments which must go through weight and balance processes. I know this is ground but still, weights should always be accurate.

Anyways, I am waiting.

Update: I've been in contact with their customer service for a couple of days, and let them know that mine, and others' orders show the status of "shipping label has been created". The lady there said she'll look into it, and the latest status is that it's in transit. Two packages of 32lbs. We'll see what comes in.

I did not say they ripped anyone off. The weight could be a mistake and you could interpret what I said anyway you want. The bottom line is that 33lbs does not equal 1000 rounds of 45 ammo. And your theory of volume discount affecting the weight is inaccurate.

And yes, their service sucked. I received my tracking and then it took 14 days before my shipment made it to UPS with no further correspondence. Read the last half dozen posts before mine of customers wondering were their shipment is. One was waiting 1 more day before filing a charge back.

I also had a few questions and called the retailer several times only to get a voice mail and no return call.

Maybe you do not care about customer service but I do. Oh, and to some of us all of this is relevant. Maybe if you spent $310 of your own money on this deal you would view this differently.

If these companies want to avoid people venting on these boards they should at least try a little communication.

Hope we all do. Just hope they don't really weigh 33 lbs cause if so they might have been cheap for other reasons than being bulk packed.

I ordered a case just like everybody here and got tired of waiting, so last night I ordered a case of Aguila brand in boxes from SGAmmo.com for $5 more ($315 shipped). An hour later, I received an update from SGAmmo that my order shipped. Most likely I'll get the order that I placed last night before the one placed two weeks ago.
