Just ordered. I picked up a set of triangle carbine handguards YEARS ago and have always wanted to build a little sort-of-Commando carbine with them. The right barrel was on sale for a great price, and the fake moderator to go with it to make it 16.1". Sweet. I'll throw this thing together as soon as it gets here.

I am wanting the pencil barrel and the 18" Gredel.
Does anybody know if the QC issue rate with BA got addressed in the past year?

A handfull of 16" pencils just landed at my house. Upon inspection they all look perfect with no crooked gas port holes & not a ding on any of them. I won't know how they shoot until summer so no help their. I personally own several BA/Aero barrels & have not had a single one not live up to or exceed expectations. B.king also has some good deals including an 18" heavy azz gov Profile Faxon for 85 bucks now. We are living in good times for quality cheap AR parts right now & will most likely look back as this being " the good Ole days"

Well shoot thank you, I grabbed a 14.5? AP middy I plan on P/W Kaw Valley LC. Been wanting to build a featureless with something other than Thordsen Gen 2 I have. Now to start grabbing other parts. I found an assembled PA upper receiver for $55 on Arm or Ally.

ETA Looks like AoA is no longer shipping parts to CA? I?ve used them a few times and they?re a great source for Aero Prec and some other parts, but looks like I?ll be looking elsewhere, unfortunately.

Get a BCM Blem upper for 50 bucks. They come with forward assist & port door. Prob the best bang for your buck.

Shoot I found Aero upper receiver on sale at AR15 discount. Blems would have been great for this build. I know it?s weird but I want an all AP build, minus stock, grip, fcg, and md. My OG build still stands with probably close to a dozen companies represented ((Addax Tactical, Palmetto State Armory, BCM, Midwest Industries, Thordsen, Sparrow, ALG, Magpul, Aimpoint, Ballistic Advantage, VG6 (P/W by Randall)) Well 11 companies apparently and funny enough it?s a great rifle, testament to the AR15 platform when good pieces come together.
