SOS 3600 Calorie Emergency Food Bars - Case of 20 $86.87

Prepare your school, home, and/or office with extra drinking water as you never know how long a disaster will last. Our cases of SOS brand food come with 20x 3600kcal Food Ration Bars. The food has a 5-year shelf life, space-efficient, great tasting and calorie dense, the food ration bars require no extra water to rehy

I was about to buy a case of 20 bars directly from the company but they wanted $100 plus $30 shipping.

This outfit advertised $89 with free shipping. I found a 10% off code "WELCOME10", that knocked it down to $86.87. There were CA taxes that had to be paid.

    4Patriots wants $99 for just 10 bars!

That comes to about $4.34 a bar. (3600 Calories). The advertised shelf life is 5 years, but some have said they taste fine after 10.

Have a few of these tucked away in kits. They taste great too. Like a cookie of some kind.

What sold me is that the cost per calorie is much better than buying number 10 cans of emergency food. I can spend $4.34 on one of these food bars or up to $40 for a Mountain House can, and the bars still have more calories than the Mountain House can.

Your inner self begins to speak "Say, wouldn't a food bar from your ammo can taste good right now"?
        Soon, they're all gone

Very high calorie, but very lacking in nutrients.

If these were better than Mountain House, than hikers/backpackers, campers and preppers would have switched over to those E-rations many years ago.

I never implied they were better than Mountain House in nutrients. I have over $1500 in Mountain House Cans and another $1000 in LDS cans. These are good for calories. I bought a case because I can keep them in my backpack, car, or hand them out to neighbors if they come begging for food. Haha!

Then you are GTG IMO. Perfect use for them

I keep one in my car emergency kit, because the heat will destroy an MRE in no time.
