How does this compare to the Larue MBT-2S?Originally posted by Sierra57Civil War 2.0 - If it comes to pass, the America-hating Leftists will have brought it upon themselves. Would you put this into a hd rifle or is this more for competition?LAPD CCW Timeline:

This is just my opinion and I'm sure that there are others that will highly disagree with me, but for a home defense situation I almost feel it's better to have a male spec trigger for the average Joe unless you have specifically trained over and over with a lighter whole weight trigger. Has nothing to do with reliability, and has everything to do with pull weight. In a situation where your adrenaline is through the roof and you're fearing for your life, I don't think it behooves most people to have a trigger that breaks at 3.5 pounds unless you are an extremely experienced shooter. It's not like a six and a half pound mil-spec trigger is going to take two hands to fire, but in an uncertain situation that extra pull weight can be all the difference in the world as to whether that firearm discharges when perhaps you didn't want it toComment

I ordered a Wilson LE/Mil single stage trigger for just this purpose during their BF sale. It is minimum 5.5 pounds.
The Rise LE/Mil single stage is 4.5 pounds. It is out of stock at PA.
Plenty of opinions, but you better have a good handle of what 3.5# is like while moving, tripping, falling, in the dark, etc. after an adrenaline dump. Depending on each person it could be ideal, or a yuge mistake.Comment
