Creative XP Pro (last year this was called the OWL).
camelcamelcamel average $326... now with deal $189.45.
Check reviews, lots of 1 but lots of 5, and there are some Youtube videos (last years model the OWL).
I think the 1 reviews are for people expecting a under $500 night vision to be good, they aren't but they do work.
It's Amazon so you can always send them back.
It's my understanding that if you carry a USB type power bank with enough amps the illumination can be greatly increased. It takes 8 AA inside, but you only get 2 workable powers, #3 to #5 levels of power require a portable power supply (they say you get 3 powers on the built in batteries, but reviews say only the first 2 are usable).
The 'zoom' is just a digital power doubler (7X) not useful as the resolution is twice squared worse, i.e. 4 times worse. (2x2=4).
It can record still and video images, check Youtube.
