We used to have the Nighthawk AC2300 wifi router in our 2200 sq/ft house, and it did just fine for the past year but I did get some weak signals out to a few Nest cams that were setup on the other side of the house and periodically lose the wifi connection from time to time. Then when covid hit and my kids has to start their online school, my wife working remotely, and also me working remotely, I had to upgrade our setup.

I thought about getting a better Nighthawk router, but went with the Orbi RBK23, and I'm glad that I did because we have more than enough coverage around the house and outside or our property now due to the included satellites. The main thing I noticed was that all of my Nest cams had a good signal and would never go out anymore. Also zero problems with 4 different Zoom calls going on at the same time (had to do this a few times), and no problems with 4 people online every day using up a lot of bandwidth.

I feel like I just typed up an Amazon review, but just putting in my $.02 on that. If you have a smaller sized single-story home, then the OP's Netgear Nighthawk will probably do just fine. But for me and my house configuration, and for my Nest cams setup around the house, the Orbi worked better with the satellites on the mesh wifi network.

Costco has the 3 piece Orbi on sale sometime this month, too.

Orbi is a different type of system that the one OP posted, they're both good though. The router OP posted is a good price for a single router that's the new AX/WiFi6. The Orbi is a MESH system, far superior to the old extenders people use to run. The Orbi was AC/WiFi5 until two months ago when they also released the AX/WiFI6 versions, I'm running that in my home and I have them all hardwired to each other to utilize ethernet backhaul and I'm getting 400-500mb/s on WiFi (my download cap from Spectrum) in every single room with no different SSID to switch back and forth, and every room has -20db or better signal. Overkill I know, 5-10mb/s in each room is more than enough for Netflix and kids doing Zoom classes.

Sooo, I have the leased Xfinity router/wifi combo on cable. I am starting to have problems with connections with my web cams. I have 4 systems. Arlo w 6 cams. Wyze w 5 cams. Piper w 2 cams. and Ring door bell. Also, a bunch of smart outlets.

Would this blow me away with speed and strength? 2000 sq ft on 3 levels. And, it says "Requires a modem. Compatible with major Internet Service Providers (cable, satellite, fiber, DSL, and more)" What modem do I get?

I didn’t have luck with net gear everytime. I have a 11 camera system and 4 nest cams. With Comcast modem it sucked. A friend recommended me the asus rog rapture. Solved all my issues. We all have iPhones also. Sucks internet company’s now cap customers to 1.2tb making you want the 130$ a month unlimited. Smh.

Have you had this modem for a long time? I had one for several years, was still on whatever was before DOCSIS 3.0. I have a landline so did not buy my own cable modem. I called Comcast one day and they told me I was not making full use of my bandwidth because of the old modem. I took it in to a store and exchanged it for a newer model, now on DOCSIS 3.1. Immediately I was able to get increased wi-fi speed in my place, typically 500Mbs.

I ended up finding out that the Xfi pods that 2 of the Arlo base stations are wired into were going down but, I was not getting any notification on the Xfintiy app. I re-booted the pods and no problems for over a week.

Plus, I called Xfinity and exchanged my "old" router for the newest one.

                              Thanks guys.
