we had a previous model and it worked well for us for perhaps a decade

Our Lowes sells them as well...they might even match the price if you ask customer service

I believe you may check something like this listMoreover this website has lots of lists with budget models of grills. I wish you good luck.

Honestly, follow Slickdeals for a Weber Genesis. Sometimes they randomly pop up on a clearance at Home Depot or Lowes. Normally the brown gets cleared out at random times. I got my Genesis at home depot I think for around $350 but that was with the burner.

Oh man, I never thought of covering it, lol.

              Yeah, I tried that.

We have a Home Depot NexGrill 5-burner. I think I got it on sale for 200, but they're normally like 250 or so. It's perfectly fine for basic sear grilling burgers, steaks, chicken etc. It gets way too hot if you have the burners on high, and the heat is a tad uneven front to back. Those are just nuances and I haven't had any actual problems with it. I do also have a charcoal with side smoker box for doing real bbq, but I use the gas more just because I can throw things on it with little prep and crank out dinner.

Since it’s kinda a dead thread. I’m going to throw down. Santa Maria style grill with red oak or just use the oven.
