I think a lot of the mask nonsense is BS. But in the world of COVID, masks are NOT for the wearer and if I was in a room full of actual deadly contagions, no way in hell I would feel comfortable wearing a contractor's mask, which is what these are. Sealed, silicone full face respirator, yes. Tradesman particle N95 mask, no. These in particular are of little value in COVID-land which is why you can't wear masks with valves on airlines...all of your funk goes spewing right on out. Doesn't take a genius to see how just about ANY barrier in front of your pie-hole keeps snot, spit, and whatever boogies the COVID would transport on a little more in check. It's why we teach kids to cough in the crook of their arm. These do absolutely nothing in that regard.

The point of a mask is to protect the wearer.

It's ridiculous to say that it's for protecting others. Because why would one want to protect others and why would one want to put his life on others wearing a legit mask (not cloth ones).

Do you trust everyone to wear a quality face mask properly? Many aren't much better than napkins with gaping leaks around the face. Yeah, I'm "selfish" for wearing a N95 with a valve at Costco, but TFB if not everyone doesn't have at least an N95 mask. If the healthcare people use N95s if possible, so will I. If I had to go on an airplane flight, I'll wear a half/full face respirator with better filters.

Sadly, the US could have invested in 3M to produce N95 masks for all Americans early.

You know S. Korea, all the masks you saw people wearing in Korean Media, those masks are of the same quality of the ones you used to buy at 99c store for 8 for $1.

The cloth ones you see Korean people wearing? Most were made for cold weather protection.

But hey, masks work as it has been said S. Korea does it right with masks.

Well happy to report order has shipped. 3 for 3 now for me with these guys.

I've ordered from botach 5 or 6 times this year and my stuff has always shipped within a week. go figure
