From November 6 through 11, active-duty, veterans, National Guard and Reserve personnel can sign up for a year of Prime membership for $79 ($40 in savings). If you have problems then do the following. It would not give me discount either, and all it took was an email and the cs had it fixed.

How to Sign Up for the Amazon.com Veterans Day Prime Discount

To sign up for the discount, Amazon needs to verify your eligibility. Go here to sign-up for the discount.

You get three tries to push the sign-up through. After three, the system will kick it back as being used too many times. That means if you experience a bug while signing up, you might need to contact customer support.

According to Amazon you can email them at veteransday@amazon.com. You’ll need to provide:

          First Name:

          Last Name:

          Date of Birth:

What is your current status - Active Duty, Veteran, Retiree or Reserve?

          - If you are a Veteran or Retiree, what is your discharge month and year?

          - If you are active duty, what is your .mil email address?

I have tried several times. Seems it does not recognize my service in 1970 to 1973. Will contact customer service when I have time to deal with them.

I had no issues on the webpage. Just make sure to use the same ETS (month and year) as on your DD214.

Worked for me too. Month and year of discharge date (DD-214 presumably) plus your DOB is all you need.
