Have you ever had beetles?

Maybe I'm lucky, never have in all these years. But at some point I started leaving them in their cellophane wrapers since I didnt notice a difference between the batches I took out vs the wrapped.

Never had beetles, but have always froze to be safe. Don't want one bad cigar leading to a hundred or so getting ruined. Better safe than sorry haha

Not common. Dependant on some factors like Source of product and transport exposure time. The high volume online places are safer than small local shops generally (fresher product and sealed storage). Folks do it, your call.

If I were to do it, the big thing is best if you have a chest freezer that is several degrees below zero and not the frost free kind. Refrigerator freezers are not cold enough to limit exposure time (12-20 hours day versus 3 days) and the frost free cycles can promote moisture, which is why freezer burn is a problem with them.

I did bag and sponge as well, should try one this weekend. Ordered a cutter and torch, but the torch doesn't work. Maybe it needs to be filled? I figured it'd be shipped ready to use, but it doesn't. Either empty or defective, but I havent been able to get a hold of them.
