This is in the jewelry section, may be promo eligible

Apmex has almost 400,000 feedback just on ebay, 99.7% positive. I don’t think there is much question they are reputable. Largest online retailer of precious metals.

But I am only seeing 1% ebay bucks

I have bought a few hundred ounces of silver on eBay over the last year or so with zero issues. I always make sure I buy when eBay bucks are high (8-10%). Certain coins categories are still eligible for eBay bucks.. and some sellers will list coins in the wrong category so buyers can get eBay bucks.

And the 10% is targeted. If you are showing 1%, then you either didn’t get the offer, or haven’t activated it.

Apmex is uber-reputable. Their items often come in sealed, marked packets which is a plus IMO. eBucks don't work in the bullion category which made this "jewelry" offering unique. I haven't seen Apmex sell Eagles this way in the past. I have bought many older coins...$20 Liberty's and St. Gaudens...as well as many popular foreign gold coins using eBucks in the past. Today's offerings were lower relative to spot than usual, so I thought I'd give folks a head's up.

I wouldn't read that into this. This deal is just a proper alignment of the stars. You can look at this dealer and other large dealers on eBay and pretty much everything that they list sells at the typical spot + a few bucks. So this isn't any kind of sell-off, but you might feel metals will decline for other reasons. And compared to those that feel that metals will increase, well, one of you will be right!

eBay gives Apmex a break on seller fees, to drive traffic to the site.

I've bought from Apmex before through eBay. They're reputable.

I've bought gold and silver from E-bay including AMPEX, no issues ever. I have bought loose gold double eagles and sealed bars as well rounds of silver and eagles. All of my transactions on E-Bay have been GTG. Most were sent to me through USPS 2nd day mail.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...
