The wife just mentioned it has been a while since I bought anything from Cabelas since we usually do in store pick ups, but their new free shipping policy has obviated that need and frankly their sales have been blah. Still hoping for a 10% offer someday that includes firearms as that Tanfoglio looks enticing.

Things used to be really cheap... 20% off gift cards, 10-15% back AJ, 10% off free shipping days like today, rewards, ammo rebates, no tax... stack those and you basically got stuff free. I feel lucky I scored so much ammo, optics, etc... when the getting was good though.

True, even still if you have GC's saved up for the 10% off day... unbeatable IMHO. Most everywhere is going to hit you for tax... maybe not some EBAY sellers and some Amazon.

dude those were the high times. back when AJ didn't exclude ammo/reloading components, 5% veteran discount , and all above that you mentioned. I stocked for years on components and even flipped some extras. Doubt we'll ever see discounts like that again
