You can still get ammo from out of state. You have to have a COE and FFL03 or you have to have it shipped to an FFL for transfer.

Bigbully is right, but Joe Average is not going to do that. It would have to be very special stuff or super low priced to want to go that route.

Not sure what you mean.. many FFLs are receiving ammo for individuals with low/no fees.. aside from tax. Probably cheaper than buying at a local shop.

My local kitchen table charges 5 bucks plus ya got to pay tax.

The fees are negligible. It’s the tax that is the biggest bummer, especially when buying bulk. That said, getting an FFL03 and COE pays for itself in tax savings after a few orders.
