I was wondering if we could buy two sets of rings of different sizes and one base, but it doesn't look like it. Don't bother asking me why I would want that as when I first thought of it, it seemed like a good idea. Now it doesn't.

I have some of the original models too. I consider the regular $210 a nice value. However, I've been waiting for a sale to get another one since I've become a cheap bastard and addicted to good deals thanks to members here like Calamity.

Through Christmas. However, he did something similar with his triggers and barrels a couple years back and the price stuck. Here's hoping...

LaRue mounts are my go-to, so if they stay at ~$150 I'll be very happy about it.

I'll have to put it on my list to buy one before xmas. Then it won't hurt so bad if they go up.

Drives me nuts that so many companies don't provide the weight of their products.

Great idea! That would be totally cool to have rings mounted on every scope you own, and then just put whichever scope you want onto the base!

It would have to be some sort of quick change mechanism that the rings snap into the base. Tolerances would be a biatch, but never having to remove the base from the rifle would be cool. Same with never having to remove the rings from the scope.

Shooting precision rifle one day with a 34mm 5-25x50, then hunting the next day with a 1 inch 3x9x40? No problemo!

Probably weighs more than some mounts, but I think that the features that their mounts provide are the reason why. It has return to zero capabilities, and of course is QD. That would require the mount to have more material and be a bit more robust than some other mounts.

I'll be ordering the 34mm mount as soon as I figure out if I want to add anything else to the order. I can post a weight if it helps.

There's nothing wrong with that. I have a set of 1" and 30mm rings for their LT-104 mount. A lot cheaper than having to buy another mount when I changed scopes.

The rings on the new mount looks identical to the rings on the LT-104. You could call and confirm. I'd call them and ask if they'd sell you two sets of rings at the discounted price. Save yourself $20.

Here's the link for the extra rings they sell.
