Dole tropical fruit cans

About $1.10 a can is not a wonderful bargain, but this stuff is about a close to healthy ice cream I've ever eaten. We love it here. Have to freeze it half way between cold and frozen to have the right ice cream/sherbert consistency. Not loaded with heavy syrup sugar.

Our local SaveMart/Safeway wants slightly over $2 a can ...

Do you just blend the fruit and freeze or freeze it in the can?

Like most canned fruits it's always better when at least refrigerated. We just freeze it in the can for a little over 2 hours, hits the spot when tired and hot. Dole tropical has a yuuuge citrus 'kick' to it.
