Hi All,

Winchester is offering a 25% mail-in rebate on select calibers, up to $50 back.


The local Walmart has the 200-round .40 S&W 165 gr boxes for $55.97, and 50-round boxes for $15.86.


If you buy three 200-round boxes, and two 50-round boxes, your total before tax is $199.63 for 700 rounds, or $0.285/round.


I paid the local Orange County tax, $17.47, bringing the total up to $217.20, or $0.31/round.


The $199.93 pre-tax total qualifies for $49.90 back in rebate, bringing the total price down to $167.29, or $0.239/round.


Not bad for a local deal.

Whitebox .45 is $65/200rds plus tax...

For me, that puts it at about:

$65.98 x 3 = $197.94

+ OC Tax = $213.28

- 25% rebate = $163.80 or $0.273 per round for 600 rounds. Not great, but not shabby.


Normally I'd wait for a deal at Cabela's or something, but those days are gone.

About $0.229 per round

Not great but pretty convenient (no shipping and FFL hassles.) Walk in, point at item(s), ID, and pay. Still the best pricing locally (Turner's, LAX Ammo, Big 5, etc...) The girl behind the counter (HB Wally World) was helpful and took it upon herself to learn about ammo. As an added bonus, no $0.10 charge for a bag.
