I have one of these in the original 45ACP and was very pleasantly surprised with how well it shoots. They have match grade barrels that are really fit well to the front bushing. Overall fit and QC is sometimes better than the Classic Sigs. I like it quite a bit. My Colt is not at nice. As good if not better than my Springfield on a couple things.

The only thing is the die hard 1911 guys tend to look down on them as they have external extractors. They dont pass many of the traditional static internal extractor tests. But I have never had a problem with extraction.

I am not totally sold on 9mm conversions, so that would be my reservation, but in my opinion the Sig 1911's are underrated.

After thinking long and hard, I'll pass on the Sig. I know it's not a fair $ to $ comparison, but my 9mm 1911s have not really been used much, so the next one will have to be something much more special, a DW Wraith in 9mm
