      Its the name

biggest problem with Yeti is that you have to keep a good eye on them as they are stolen alot since there so expensive.

I beleive cabelas and a few others make very similar products under there own name for less.

The Wal-Mart version of the hopper is on sale. This is the first time I've seen it on sale. Brand is Ozark. You can get the Ozark model and put a yeti sticker on it?

I have both. Ozark is nice and better deal based off the price, but the yeti is a higher quality cooler.

I have the first Yeti Hopper 40 and I am very happy with it. That is a good price for the 30.

I’ve had good luck with the pelican brand roto coolers.

haha, just takes one cooler bag leaking blood in your trunk to say "never again".

Yeti was the first company out that cornered a blossoming market way early. They got the big sponsorships early and got big enough that everybody has to prove themselves "compared to YETI". There are about 2 dozen other "major" cooler companies now that directly compete with YETI to some degree of brand recognition, but YETI stays on top and will continue to charge a premium until people stop buying.

I'm an RTIC guy because as much as I love 'Merica, I also love a good deal. I have an RTIC SoftPack 30 that operated identical or better (in most YT videos) than the YETI Hopper Flip. It's good on ice for a day and a half under normal use, and good for keeping beer "drinking cold" for at least 3 days. I have RTIC, YETI, and OZARK Trail stainless cups/mugs/tumblers/jugs of all shapes and sizes... and they are all identical to my lips. I take my YETI's when there is no chance I'll lose it (like in my backyard), and my OT's on the boat or 4-wheelin when they may fall overboard.

My next purchases will be a pair of RTIC roto coolers, probably a couple 145's to handle meat transportation during hunting trips. You can buy TWO RTIC 145's for the price of a single YETI 125. You just can't argue with that!

I don't have a soft cooler but I do have a yeti 85 and the quality is just a touch better than the others....damn things weight a ton empty

For what it’s worth, Bass Pro in Manteca has them on sale for the same price. They had stack of them in stock. I personally don’t see the reason for the price tag, but then again I don’t need to keep ice for 2 weeks.
