    Ruger 10/22 Takedown MICA BRONZE

I've been contemplating a 10/22 TD for a couple of years but just couldn't fall in love with the black stock. Sure you can get aftermarket but then you're throwing away a perfectly good (fugly) stock that you paid for. I saw some in other colors and camo... none of them really did it for me either though they were definitely an improvement over the black.

I caught a glimpse of the new MICA BRONZE stock recently. The photos do not really do it justice. In person it's a richer color with some texture to it.

A bit of comparison shopping online led me to this vendor. $249 plus $20 shipping to my FFL. That price is going to be pretty hard to beat. Just passing it along if anyone else takes the notion to add one of these to their collection. Right now this item is showing "in stock" at their 3 stores.

Buy Ruger 10/22 Takedown 22LR Rimfire Rifle with Mica Bronze Synthetic Stock and Threaded (21181) now at Vance Outdoors. Wide selection of Ruger Semi-Automatic Rimfire for sale online today.

I picked up one of those for about the same price from turners a few months ago. Fun little rifle.

I've only seen one locally, and they wanted north of $300 for it, closer to $350 if memory serves. Remind me again how much profit you make on a rifle you don't sell? A lot of CA gun sellers don't seem to know how to price things, or maybe it's that a lot of gun buyers don't know the art of shopping around and just "impulse buy" things.

If it was a takedown, you did pretty well. I sometimes see the standard 10/22 go for that, but the takedown I see priced probably $50-$100 more. You're getting the extra work/mechanism that makes takedown possible plus the spiff backpack it rides in. Makes sense it would cost a bit more than the standard model.

I got the same one for $249 (shipped) at the end of August. Good price for it. Didn't care about the colors--picked up an X-22 Backpacker stock for $80 and tech sights for the fun of it.

I'm thinking of a Ruger TD. But do they come with a short carbon bull barrel with threads?

I just took out my fugly 10-22 TD to the range after sitting idle for a couple years. I was reminded how much fun it is to shoot 22lr. Anyone looking to buy a TD, just do it. You'll have no regrets.

Good price on that particular TD.

I just wish the 21152 TD was cheaper, but it's double the price.

Interesting-- just looked on my laptop (was on mobile when I looked before) and it shows at $249. Must be a script issue on their site.

These are okay in CA with the threaded barrel because they're rimfire, right?
