I havent shopped at natchez in many years due to outrageous shipping, but really debating pulling the trigger on an rcbs chargemaster 1500 combo. After some google fu i found they had the best price of $269,and with the labor day coupons id take $20 off my $200 order, unless i foound something else to make it a $300 order then id take $30 off.not sure what the consensus is of natchez but the $20 off basically covered shipping to my zipcode in the central valley

RCBS chargemaster combo @natchez
everyone has a phtographic memory, some just dont have the filmTags: None -
Pretty good price.
However, it goes into your cart at Cabelas for $288. With AJ at 10% and 20% gift cards it comes to $198 and change. A lot better if you have the gc's. Even if you don't, get them at 15% and still save a bunch.Last edited by Calamity Sue; 09-03-2017, 9:36 AM.Actually Sue's Husband -
Sorry but the Lyman sucks. All generations. They have a 30 minute warm up time for the scale to read true. Rcbs is 5 minutes. My first 1500 combo ran for 5 years then I sold it. My current one is 2 years old and going strong.Looking for RPR or Precision Rifle Accessories? Check out Anarchy Outdoors. http://www.anarchyoutdoors.com?afmc=1wComment

I have not read that from the reviews. Do you have sources or is this from your own personal experience?Comment

That came from Lyman. That's why I returned it and got another chargemaster. Weights were all over the place and very jumpy. After 30-40 minutes it would settle down. My chargemaster only needs a 5 min warm up and the scale is steady as hell.Looking for RPR or Precision Rifle Accessories? Check out Anarchy Outdoors. http://www.anarchyoutdoors.com?afmc=1wComment

I am definitely more interested in personal experience over manufacturer's claims. I have read both RCBS and Lyman benefiting from long warmup times and some never turn them off.
The Lyman's official site claims a 3 minute warmup time for the gen6 due to "technology". Here is what they state:
"Based on re-engineered digital technology that overcomes problems commonly experienced by older designs, the system is packed with additional state of the art improvements like fast, 3 minute warmup, anti-static and anti-drift technology and has sophisticated electronic shielding to resist interference from other electronic devices like cell phones, etc. Shop Lyman today for improved measurements with a digital powder scale."

Sorry for the thread jack to the OP but I figure some who are looking for the RCBS are probably looking at others like I was.
