    **IGNORE** Cabela's: Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24x50 + Free Rings - $431.08

    Hi All,

Cabela's has the Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24x50 plus a set of rings for $639.99.

With a little jumping through the hoops, you can bring the final price down to $431.08 (all links are non-referral)

    Regular Price: $639.99

    - 10% Off ($64) with code "7TENOFF": $639.99 - $64 = $575.99

    - Plus Shipping ($19.95): $575.99 + $19.95 = $595.94

    - 18% Off GC from Paypay Digital Gifts* - $595.94 X*.82 = $488.67

    - 10% Active Junky Cashback ($57.59): $488.67 - $57.59 = $431.08

    * You can buy three at a time, but no over all limit.

Would this be a bit overkill on a Remington 700?

What caliber and how far are you shooting?

This scope tends to be popular with the 6.5 Creemoor crowd, from what I have repeatedly read. 1000 yards is good to go.

Probably only up to 700-800, shooting .308.

That scope should have you well covered I think, especially at that price.

These are second focal plane correct?

If so, just be aware that as you change magnification, the hash marks in the reticle will change in their scale compared to a first focal plane scope.

Yes, these are single focal plane.
